HASTINGS RACECOURSE HOSTS THE BC DERBY SUPER CARD OF RACING

Get ready for a day of heart-pounding action and high-stakes drama as Hastings Racecourse presents its signature event of the year, the $125,000 BC Derby, on Saturday, September 13. With a first post of 2:30 pm PST, fans will be treated to a huge 12-race card, highlighted by the BC Derby, the final leg of the Western Canadian Derby Series.

This year's BC Derby brings a compelling storyline. Attack, the winner of the Manitoba Derby, will be looking to add to his impressive Series efforts after a third place finish in the Canadian Derby in Edmonton. The rest of the field will not make that easy, as powerful rivals such as Accidental Genius and Pioneer Storm King will also be right in the mix. Two fillies, Chi Chi Time and Someday Lady are entered in both the BC Oaks and the Derby and have until race day to declare where they will run.

To celebrate this premier event, Hastings Racecourse, in partnership with Twinspires, Xpressbet, 1/ST Bet, and HPI Bet, is rolling out several lucrative wagering promotions for horseplayers.

The wagering profile for the day will be a fan favorite, featuring two Pick 4s, the Classic Hi-5, $1 Jackpot Pick 5 and the popular $2 Rolling Doubles. All these pools, including the Win, Place and Show pools are offered at a low 15% takeout adding even more value for horseplayers.
